And I feel like I've just woken up from a coma. People seem vivid, energetic, and in my face. Hotels and restaurants are spiffed up and highly polished, as if they'd spent their time off preparing a special welcome for us. In museums, school groups seem to be full of kids who are actually interested. Big Ben sparkles with its new remodel job.
