We went to Alaska in September! So many highlights. While exploring we discovered that the hike to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park has amazing views, but is also an incredible way to see a glacier up close and really understand how it shaped the land and how it is receding.
I got married in Portugal in September and invited my closest friends to decompress after in Marvão. We stayed at Quinta do Barrieiro just to spend a day next to the marble pool. Stop at Natural Bar for the perfect sunset with petsicos and ice-cold Vinho Verde.
Last month, I went camping in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. You’ll likely fly into Maun, which has quite a tiny airport, so I recommend walking across the street and fueling up at The Duck Cafe. Don’t forget to pack neutral-colored clothes so you can camouflage yourself!
I was lucky enough to be there for its annual Roman and Carthaginians Festival where thousands of people re-enact the Battle for Qart-Hadasht on the very field it's believed to have occurred. When I go back I really want to dust off my scuba license to explore the shipwreck sites that lie just off its stunning coast.
