Call anything “the best,” and the pressure for it to be pretty damn good immediately skyrockets – especially if you're tasked with creating videos to showcase what it is like to travel to these amazing destinations.
In fact, it’s a huge responsibility to recommend anything to anyone, let alone to direct people where to travel, how to spend their money and when to use those all-too-precious vacation days. So you can imagine that the assignment to unearth the most important stories to tell about our Best In Travel 2024 destinations in video isn’t just about making a place look beautiful (any well-timed Instagram reel can do that). No, for us, it’s about making it feel meaningful.
That’s why, for this year’s video anthology series, we turned to a chorus of local voices from Mongolia, Montana, Ecuador, Poland and Nairobi, to explain and explore the senses of their homeland, and, in doing so, provide our audience (that’s you!) with a visceral tapestry of what it really feels like to visit.
We partnered with local producers to bring these stories to life. In turn, they connected us with artists and chefs, athletes and singers, cowboys and nomads to create this series of videos meant to immerse you in each destination's sights, sounds, tastes, smells and feelings. Now, isn’t that just the best?
